The Trompetstraat is one of these smalls and cute streets from old Delft, with a lot of history to tell. It seems that the name of the street has changed around 1667 from Sint-Ursulastraat to Trompetstraat. All because of a famous Delft trumpet player (and sailor) called Cornelis Jacobsz.
He had his trumpet-signboard hanging in the corner of the street. Maybe he would also play his trumpet the whole day when he was not working overseas. So people would hear the music when they went walking by.
\What do you think? Can you hear the trumpet?

You will be surprise when you get to the playground. It’s very pretty and well cared. It’s safe for young toddlers as it has one entrance only and you will rarely see a car driving there. Check the photos.
